Hand of Fate: Choose Your Card and Let Fate Decide The Outcome

Defiant Development has announced their latest Kickstarter-funded project Hand of Fate coming to Playstation 4 and PS Vita. Hand of Fate is a blend between a rogue-like tabletop card game and video game magic, says Associate Producer Kim Allom from Defiant Development. Taking inspiration from fantasy and tarot, you must create your own adventure by developing a collection of cards used to deal out a board game-style dungeon packed full of enemies, hidden treasures and epic adventure.
Kim tells us as you enter a combat scenario the cards come to life in a gorgeous 3D world to fight it out with your enemies. In Hand of Fate you are encouraged to draw your cards, play your hand and discover what fate has install for you. As Hand of Fate is designed roguelike, it draws its strength from its nearly endless combination of cards and methods of playing. The deck builder allows you to determine a combination of combat, chance and equipment cards for your entire deck before setting out on your adventure.
Having the option to select equipements also increases Hand of Fate's replayability as gamers are presented with an array of artifacts, weapons and armor that changes the overall dynamics of the gameplay from one mission to the next. Players will have freedom to select their cards, but how and when these cards are dealt is up to the descretion of the dealer only.
Kim tells us that Hand of Fate is created by a team of RPG, Roguelike and board game enthusiast, so fans of any of these styles of gaming genre's should be in for a real treat with this upcoming PS4, PS Vita title.
