Evolution Studio's game director Paul Rustchynsky has updated us with new details on PS4 Exclusive DRIVECLUB. Since last years delay of DRIVECLUB a title supposed to be launched alongside Playstation 4, Paul tells us the talented team at Evolution Studios has been working very-hard on delivery on their promise of developing the best quality racing game worthy of next-generation standards.

So why the delay?

Paul tells us the reason, stating the dynamic menu is an integral part of what is going to make DRIVECLUB so much fun to play and it is this fundamentally crucial element that will connect you and everybody else in the DRIVECLUB community. Evolution Studios needed to ensure that whenever players connected to DRIVECLUB via their Playstation 4, mobile device or tablet the dynamic menu and user experience needed to be smooth, seamlessly connecting you to the network in order to find what to play and who to play with. It is this dynamic menu, vital to Evolution Studios desire to grow a user base of millions of connected clubs, sharing the exciting experience of driving amazing cars together is why the connectivity element needed to be perfect.

Paul is confident that no other racing game has delved into combining a socially driven multi-platform dynamic menu with other connected online elements. It is this ambitious feat that makes Evolution Studios confident of  DRIVECLUB being a major hit with car racing fans even after the initial hype from the launch has passed.

The new and improved DRIVECLUB features also go beyond just the dynamic menu. Taking advantage of the extra horse power underneath the PS4, Paul tells us they have been able to push DRIVECLUB'S development even further including:

Paul also confirmed that the PS Plus Edition will still be available on the same day as the full release, offering a choice of cars and tracks from the complete version. This is a great way to introduce new fans to the racing genre into the world of DRIVECLUB and to highlight what the full complete experience has to offer. Look out for more details on the PS Plus Edition coming soon.

Our Thoughts . . .

They say good things come to those who wait and that statement couldn't be more true than when it comes to DRIVECLUB. We think what the small studio are doing is ground breaking not only from a visual perspective but socially as well. We have seen the fatal results and PR backlash from games rushed to release and we are glad Evolution Studios did not jump on the same epic fail band wagon. We have been more than impressed by what we have witnessed so far from our hands on experience last year and we think most of you will be too on Oct. 8.

Expect more news and exclusive video footage from DRIVECLUB in the next few weeks leading up to E3 2014.
