Worms Battlegrounds Arrives On PlayStation 4  This June 3rd 2014

Team 17 Digital Ltd has announced Worms Battlegrounds will be available to download on PlayStation 4 beginning June 3rd, 2014. Worms Battlegrounds includes an extensive single player campaign spanning twenty-five story missions and ten “Worm-Ops” time-attack missions, which are set across 5 gorgeous environments (Viking, Inca, Industrial Revolution and Feudal Japan) with new day-to-night lighting transitional effects. Worms Battlegrounds features a compelling story plot written by Multi-BAFTA award winning writer Dean Wilkinson, which is magically transformed to life by the talented Katherine Parkinson best known for her role as Jen in the IT Crowd.

Worms Battlegrounds also features local and online multiplayer battles for up to 4-players. Gamers will be able to select from two different game modes: Deathmatch, Classic and Forts, which can be predefined or customized. Team 17  have also added multiplayer clan support allowing you to form your own clan and create your emblem or join an existing clan to participate in league matches.  All these earn you community points, which helps your clan level up and grow bigger.
Another great addition to Worms Battlegrounds on PS4 is the ability to control the same team within a clan. So for example you would be able to control two of the worms and so would a friend in the clan.

Team 17 has also added a Landscape Editor feature which allows gamers to create their own maps to play or share with the community. There are 65 crazy weapons and utilities to choose from in Worms Battlegrounds including 10 super new items: The Mega Mortar, Winged Monkey, Gravedigger, Oxygen, Bovine Blitz, Worm Charm, Whoopsie Cushion, Aqua Pack Teleport Gun and The Equaliser.

If you are under heavy attack during a battle mode and wish to quickly access your Banana Bomb for example, Team 17 have added weapon gestures allowing you to allocate up to 4 weapons for fast selection via the DualShock 4 touch pad. Swipe left and you could have the Holy Hand Grenade, or Swipe down for the Banana Bomb. The DualShock4 light bar works in perfect sync with Worms Battlegrounds changing colors depending on your worms scenario. If the DS4 light bar glows red then your worms are under attack, blue light indicates they are submerged in water and green light when they are being poisoned.
