Resogun Update Out Today: Ship Editor, Local Co-op, and More Trophies

Resogun Update: Featuring New Content Creation Surprise

Resogun has new updates out today on PS4, this free update to all Resogun owners will lay the much need ground work for the upcoming Heroes expansion due out next week, which will expand your experience of Resogun even further with the inclusion of new modes, new weapons, game worlds and much more. In addition to getting you prepared for the Heroes expansion pack the team at Housemarque and XDEV Studio wanted to give fans of the futuristic shooter a little something to wet their appetites and as a thank you for your support and amazing feedback towards Resogun.
With that in mind, the team have released a new free update containing loads of tweaks, bug fixes and a few special treats like ship editor mode.

Ship Editor

Ship editor has been one of the most requested features by fans of the series since the title was launched as many of you out there wanted the ability to create your own ship. Well now you can. Ship editor is now a fully functioning part of Resogun and can allow you to design your very own Alien annihilating space cruiser from the ground up using a detailed voxel editor.  You can now align your afterburners and weapons, set your own attributes to control the ships ability, add boosts and overdrive functionality and even select the standard weapon sets for your spaceship.

In addition to this, Housemarque/XDEVS have also gone a step further by connecting the voxel editor online, allowing you to now show of your flying master piece online, share and download from your buddies or challenge the community at large to see what ships has that winning edge to take pole position on the leaderboards.

Local Co-op Mode

Another highly requested feature to appear in todays update is local co-op mode; During our Resogun review we spoke of this being one of the features we think would really take Resogun to another level and we are glad Housemarque has now also added this to the expansion.

More Trophies


For those who love winning trophies, well now there are loads more in todays free update and the upcoming expansion. Finally with the launch of this new update and the forthcoming expansion, Housemarque has decided to clear the entire leaderboards and start fresh, but before you gasp in shock and horror threat not as they are aware of all your hard work and sneaky exploits like the video above and below to get your position among the greatest space pilots around the world. Before clearing the leaderboards, they have added a Hall of Fame Leaderboard to forever immortalize the original Resogun Heroes. All the scores in the Main Hero difficulty leaderboard will now be there forever as a tribute to those who made it to the top spot by hook or crook.



Our Thoughts . . .
These new updates are great additions to Resogun and one we think will add a spice of competition to the already brilliant game. Having the ability to develop your very own ship and tweak its attributes means a far more immersive experience, especially for the more tactical minded gamers out there.
