Transformers: Rise Of The Dark Spark Aims to Bridge 30 Years Of History

The Hunt For The Dark Spark Launches June 24th On PlayStation 4

2014 marks 30 years since the Autobots and decepticons first brought their ancient war to our planet in the popular Transformers series changing our perception of motor cars and trucks forever.  Now with Activision behind the wheel, the studio are excited to usher in the transformers 4th decade with a brand new video game.

"We knew Rise Of the Dark Spark had to include Transformers incredible 30 year history and we wanted that shared history to be apart of the experience we delivered." Said Andy Owen Lead Producer at Activision.

Transformers: Rise Of The Dark is a third-person action adventure game that bridges the gap between Paramount Pictures' live action movie, Generation One and Activision's Cybertron game for the first time in the history of the franchise.
The game will focus on the hunt for the  illusive and catastrophic Dark Spark — the counterpart to the Matrix of Leadership, capable of twisting the universe to the will of those who posses it.

Transformers Rise Of The Dark Spark will feature over forty playable characters in Campaign and co-op Escalation modes. In an effort to combine two unrelated Transformers modes. Activision has also unified players progression across both modes, allowing all player progressions XP, customizations and load out options to be carried over from one mode to the other.

Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PS3 June 24th, just in time for the arrival of Transformers: Age of Extinction in movie theaters.
