Destiny Beta Calendar Reveal July 17th As Launch Date

Destiny Beta: The Time To Stand Up And Fight Is Close

Bungie have officially unveiled the date for Destiny Beta as July 17th. Bungie's Community Manager, DeeJ has revealed Destiny's Beta will first launch on PlayStation's Platform, with early pre-orders gaining exclusive access to the networks before anyone else. The time of dreaming to be a guarding of Earth is almost over as gamers the world over will be able to prowl the wild frontier in search of hidden, secrets, treasure and glory.

This exclusive Beta access is Bungie's way of testing out the brave new world with players all across the globe to see how the network holds up against the stampede. Destiny Beta will launch July 17th, with a scheduled maintenance on July 21st and 22nd, followed by a Destiny Beta Rally on July 26th.

Deej advices gamers to play whenever possible, but make sure to mark July 26th on your calendar for the Beta Rally. Bungie will be giving away special rewards to those who make an appearance in the Tower, or to players in the frontier beyond the walls, so make sure you don't miss it.

For those who sampled the Destiny Alpha a few weeks back, DeeJ has told us there are even more new revelations for you to enjoy, if Destiny Beta will be your first sampling of the action, adventure shooter. There will be loads of things to do, including Character development, Story Missions, Co-op strikes, Competitive Crucible death matches, social interaction and Dance Battles. On July 10th, Bungie.net will be getting some brand new upgrades, along with new features and services that will help you integrate into the incredible action.
