Today marks the official Beta launch of Bungie's mega expanding Destiny Universe. Players will take on the role of a recently resuscitated human hybrid, who must investigate an old crumbling Russian facility, while fighting legions of ferocious alien monsters in order to gain new abilities, armor and weapons along the way.

The first major difference between Bungie's latest Destiny Beta release and the previously launched Destiny Alpha last month is that it covers most of the missing details in story narrative as well as pre-developed cinematic cut scenes, that explains more of Destiny's backstory. These never before seen cinematic scenes are fully voice-performed; with your character even getting involved in the conversation now and then. Destiny Beta version also features an improved Ghost assistance dialogue complete with digitized filters and other stylish audio-related results that help to create a deeper personal user experience.

Another notable difference in Destiny's Beta is in its Soundtrack, which feels much more fiery especially during the action segments. On-Screen visual images that highlight pivotal in-game events also appear to have been color boosted, like when the screen rattles and shakes during huge explosions or when a  large space ship delivers a squad of enemy soldiers to the Battlefield.

Some zones are now labeled "Darkness Zones." Which basically means you and your troops must stay alert watching each others  backs as the ability to respawn during these areas are disabled. On the main map of the Universe, The Tower now highlights  small green icons that display bonuses or notifications waiting for you at that location.

For gamers seeking a challenge, why not try out the Crucible — Destiny’s PvP multiplayer mode. This sets gamers against each other in an intense battle, that introduces a couple of random conveyances thrown into the mix on bigger maps.  Players can seize enormous vehicles or utilize their sparrow at will —  Alternatively you can also approach enemy zones via foot patrol for stealth or maximum assault. We played a capture the flag type game, where the aim was to seize and take control of various strong holds, while eliminating enemy targets looking to take control of our zones.

There are a few things we noticed during our run through with Destiny Beta, let us know what else you discover differently from last months Destiny Alpha to Destiny Beta in the comments below.  Destiny will be available on PlayStation 4 and Playstation 3 on the 9th of September 2014, but you can get  a sneak peek at how the game handles starting today by Pre-Ordering a copy of the game HERE now. You can also check out our TwitchTV channel where we will be live streaming Destiny Beta all this week.
