Evolve: New Monster Wraith Detailed, Plus Info On Technical Test Participation

The Sneaky Wraith Will Leave Hunters In A Daze Of Confusion

Turtle Rock Studio's upcoming 4v1 shooter Evolve is really building momentum with the addition of a new stealthier monster know as the Wraith. Unlike the other creatures we've seen thus far like the imposing Goliath or menacing Kraken. The Wraith is a much more sneakier predator able to misdirect attacks using an array of chameleon style tricks to gain the upper hand in battle.

One perfect example of this is the Wraith's ability to spawn a decoy into the heat of battle, while the real creature becomes invisible. Perfect for distracting human hunters while you sneakily attack from behind.

Another ability is the Abduction skill which lets you focus on a single hunter pulling them away from their fellow comrades. Once you have them alone, you can attack with the devastating Supernova which results in a flurry of bladed claws against nearby opponents.

Another skill in the Wraith's arsenal of deadly abilities is the dreaded Warp Blast. This slingshots the Wraith into the hunters environment delivering a lethal explosion on impact. The Wraith isn't as physically tough as Goliath and Kraken, hence the various skills utilizing stealth and decoys to your advantage. Like the other creatures, you will be able to devour native wildlife to replenish health and build armor to eventually Evolve.

Get ready for Evolve this February 10th, 2014 and if you were one of the lucky few to be apart of Evolve's November Alpha phase, you should be getting an email very soon inviting you to join a new technical test of the game starting January 17th.
