Music lovers, Sony has announced Spotify will be joining the list of awesome apps available on PlayStation's new music platform. Partnering with the digital music service, fans can enjoy Spotify on PlayStation's Network this Spring in forty-one markets across the globe.


PlayStation Community members will be able to link their existing ID to subscribe to Spotify's Premium service. You can also listen to music from spotify while playing games on your PlayStation 4, allowing you to enjoy your gaming sessions with your favorite songs in the background.

Spotify boasts an impressive catalogue of music with more than 30 million songs and 1.5 billion playlists, ranging from rock to pop, hiphop and RnB. The brand new PlayStation Music service will initially launch on PlayStation 4 and Playstation 3, as well as Xperia smartphones and tablets.

You will still be able to listen to your favorite playlists – including all curated playlists if you are already an existing Spotify user.  Before Spotify launches on PlayStation Music, Sony's Music Unlimited service will no longer be available across 19 countries from March 29, 2015, as all these countries will be part of the 41 markets available to PlayStation Music featuring Spotify.

These countries include the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Starting from 28th of Feb, 2015 those with active Music Unlimited subscription will get up to 30 days free access right through to 29th of March 2015. You can sign up HERE for more updates.
