Wedbush Securities Analyst Michael Pachter is predicting that PS4 remote play feature on the PS Vita will not save it from plummeting sales. Pachter has always been known for his controversial predictions about the future of the gaming industry, and his recent statements follows in glorious Pachter-esq style. This time he shares his thoughts on if using the PS Vita for Playstation 4 remote play will help to revive the handheld console's sales figures.

Michael Patcher commented about this on his show Pach-Attack. When the question was mentioned, he initially said “No," but then continued  to say why.

"I think if the PS Vita came in various colours or had compelling software it would sell a lot more. Sales have been very low on the Vitas, and I shudder to think how many units were shipped out this month, which was not very many."
Said Pachter.

"The Vita is a really great device, that nobody really believes they need, hence why purchases are low. The PS Vita is really slick, and if you do happen to buy one you will have fun with it."
He concluded.

We recently covered an article about Sony wanting to include the PS Vita  with the PS4 in a special bundle deal for $500 dollars, and even though Sony are yet to officially confirm these announcements. It will definitely help to boost sales towards the PS Vita, but as Michael Pachter's predictions goes we will know more on those PS Vita figures once the Playstation 4 is released and developers are incorporating that feature into their games.

What do you guys think? Do you agree with Pachter, would relevant software and new colours inspire you to pick up the handheld Vita? Are you planning on getting the Vita for PS4 remote play? Or do you think the PS Vita is history.
