Ska Studios has launched their announcement trailer for Salt and Sanctuary today and from the action packed promo, it feels like we are in for  a classic old school RPG in the making. Gamers will take on the role of a sailor shipwrecked on a bizarre purgatory island, where they are sheltered from the on-going war that has gone on for centuries.

Those familiar with previous works from Ska Studio like Charlie Murder and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile should sort of get an idea of what to expect from what looks like a fun, classic adventure on PS4/Vita.

Salt and Sanctuary is a side-scrolling action adventure, full of complex details that comes together in 2 dimensional, hand-drawn stylistic art form. There are also tons of variations to weapons and combat mechanics, from single handed technics to two handed sword play for extra power. Gamers can also choose the option of  battling with shields or crossbows and every single configuration has its own moveset, from magic staffs to throwing daggers.

Our Thoughts . . .

Ska Studio's have combined all the great elements from classic sidescrollers  like Castlevania into Salt and Sanctuary and from the looks of todays trailer, this is one title  RPG fans will not want to miss.
